The Maryland Opportunity Grant program is one of many programs offered by the state of Maryland through the Maryland Mortgage Program.
The total grant amount is equal to 6% of the sales price. Can be structured to cover the entire down payment most if not all of the closing costs.

- Grant funds can be applied towards down payment and closing costs
- Grant funds are fully forgiven
- Lower income limits per county apply
- Apply extra grant funds to eliminate mortgage insurance
